Meet Sandi
Multi-Dimensional, Trauma-Informed Guide, Wisdom Holder, Yogi, and Sacred Being
I teach friendly and accessible yoga to women of all ages, body shapes and abilities, either online or one-to-one, including women who have never tried yoga
before. I encourage clients to make a conscious link between the natural rhythms and energies of our own bodies as women, and the natural world around us.
Why have I developed this approach?
I was born in the beautiful county of Yorkshire
in the North of England which is famous for its open landscapes of hills and dales. As a child I learned to love nature through fellwalking and birdwatching. In stark contrast, I have worked for more than twenty years as international observer in situations of conflict and hardship, including the wars in Afghanistan and Ukraine as well as in many developing countries in Africa, South America, Eastern Europe and
Southeast Asian.
My work taught me to recognise how people – and women in particular – possess tremendous resilience in the face of hardship.
How do we find this resilience in ourselves?
My own healing after the stress of witnessing the
inhumanity of war led me to explore how we can find inner peace and emotional balance when the human world threatens our wellbeing.
This led me to yoga, but also back to my love of nature. I found that by combining yoga and nature, I
reconnected with those physical, spiritual, and natural energies that we have as women, but that we sometimes seem to misplace.
